A/N: This one's going out to ama_blue as part of the Bones Holiday Fic Exchange (thanks zerodetorres and tempertemper77! :) for all the organizing and being on top of things). Title comes from Elvis Presley's I'll Be Home For Christmas. More specifically, a remastered version in which Carrie Underwood lends her vocals. A thanks must go to the ever-amazing _missmargaret_ as well. Seriously M, without you and your general awesomeness, this would be lost on JJ amidst all my other partially written, comma plagued... things. :)
Disclaimer: As always, I do not own Bones. Nor any of the characters, places, etc. associated with the fantastic show.
Summary: He trails off, suddenly shy after his words and when he feels her heated gaze on him, he's overwhelmed with insecurities that he's just simply not used to having. He feels as if he's put his heart out there for her to take and he wonders if, inside that brilliant brain of hers, she realizes just how heavily this all is weighing on him. He feels like he's in some sort of limbo.

I would also like to point out that this is not the same 'verse as For Better, For Worse, but for those of you who are wanting more of that story, never fear! For I've begun working on season 4. And I'm horrible sorry the codeing is well. . .horrible. LJ doesn't seem to like me (this is also why it isn't under a cut. . .sorry).

What do I get when I combine two of my favorite things - Christmas music and fandom? A multi-fandom Christmas fanvid! It's "All I Want for Christmas is You" by Mariah Carey and holiday episodes of pretty much all my fandoms ever. In alphabetical order, they are: 30 Rock, The Big Bang Theory, Bones, Chuck, Community, ER, Friends, Gilmore Girls, How I Met Your Mother, Modern Family, The Office, Parks & Recreation, Psych, Pushing Daisies, Scrubs, The West Wing, and The X-Files. (Though I must admit, it's really heavy on the Bones clips. I couldn't help it! No one does Christmas like Bones!) So, spoilers for all these shows, basically, including this year's holiday episodes. A couple clips are just from winter-themed eps, and one is from a New Year's ep, but I figured it was close enough.

Notes: I was Christmas shopping recently when I just casually walked through the TV on DVD section at Target, to find that—miracle of miracles!—Bones Season 4 was on sale. So I bought it. And now, when I should be studying for a Constitutional Law class that I have a final in on Monday, I am watching the entire set. The scene that is mentioned in this piece just got the ball rolling.
